POLICING PRIORITIES:

We choose our policing priorities based on the incidents reported to us, the issues raised at Surgeries and locality meetings and by emails we receive from the public. These priorities are therefore flexible and will be adapted or changed by the feedback that the public provide.

THE PRIORITIES:

THEFT FROM SHOPS - This continues to remain an issue. Officers have met with the Tesco manager and Head Office staff regarding their Town Link Radio and new agency security staff. Officers have increased their surgeries to one per week in Hertford. Hertfordshire Constabulary booths are being used at the street surgeries which are being held in Tesco, Waitrose, Boots, M&S and Matalan, Hertford. Look at the calendar for dates of these meetings.

ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR IN OLD CROSS/PARLIAMENT SQUARE - This is still an issue with a number of calls to support that anti social behaviour is taking place. Subway are now reporting a minority of youths causing problems in and around the shop.

Report any suspicious activity using the NEW national non-emergency, 101. If a crime is taking place call 999.

THEFTS

There have been a number of thefts recently from vehicles in East Herts which have been left unlocked. Officers would like to remind residents to always leave your vehicle secure and remove all valuables. For further crime prevention advice, please click here.
